my mom has a bachelors degree, but it's from another country (Pakistan). She can't get a job because she doesn't have one here. What should she do? Is there any way to possibly convert the degree?

  1. A bachelors degree does not have the same prestige as it once does.  It's no longer easy to find a job with just a bachelor degree.

You need to contact a school to see what it will take to covert the degree. Basically she has to prove she has the degree. Some courses may be transferable or it might be possible to challenge some courses for credit (you write an exam or something along those and if you get an high enough score you get credit for the course).  This process may be easy, many of the courses could be transferable, but your mom could end having to complete a fair number of courses.

One of my friends is from Poland and has a Phd in physics and she had to do a number of courses to prove she had those credientals.

    I hope that helps,

    Ptr
