Question:

Foreign exchange student to New Zealand?

Hi, I am going into my Sophomore year of high school and would like to go on an exchange to preferably New Zealand at the beginning of the second semester if possible. I have some questions, however. If I went over and attended school there would my credits I take transfer? Can anyone recommend a good program to do such a thing? Can I even go over halfway through the school year?

I would like to go over at the beginning of this school year, but I don't think I'm prepared for that yet financially. I am applying for jobs right now so that I can hopefully raise enough money by the semester to go over. I am already quite old for my grade, not held back, just old, so therefore I'm especially hoping there is some way my credits can transfer if I do this. Thank you all.

  1. Hi

I work for a student exchange organization and know that credits can never be guaranteed to transfer over. They usually do especially for English speaking countries. New Zealand has a school system opposite ours. The first semester starts at the end of January.

A good place to find reputable companies is to log onto www.csiet.org

the company I work for is Pacific intercultural exchange www.pieusa.org and we have a full CSIET listing.

    hope this info helps :-)
