Forensic science?

I am starting collage in september doing a BTEC forensic science diploma.

Would this be enough if i pass to get on doing a forensic science course at uni or do i need somthing else?

  1. It depends on the university.  Some have a more flexible approach, the more popular universities don't.  

    I would recommend you look up the universities you'd like to apply to and check out their prospectuses online - they always have a page on entrance requirements.  

    I find it helps to bring up the prospectus and then "Ctrl + find" and type in "forensic science" and it'll bring you to the pages with those words on it.  It's amazing how easy it is to forget how useful this tool is!!

    If your course is not accepted, you may need to reconsider the course in September and try to get onto another, such as A level Chemistry, or whatever the universities are willing to accept.  It's important you find out otherwise you may waste a year!!

    You could also speak to a careers adviser at school/college or even at the job centre.  They can help you with the leg work and will know more about other technicalities that you may need to know.
