Forget contracts: Why does Couture feel Nogueira isnt owed a title defense? I think Fedor/Silvia affirmed that

Okay, seeing Fedor in action reminded me. Why does Randy think that he is ready for Emelianenko without even seeing if he can beat Nog first?

I love watching Fedor and I guess it's pretty obvious who will win between him and Nogueira. However, while Randy may be his most logical next opponent, I don't think he is Randy's most logical next opponent. What do y'all think. Do you think if Dana White does clear Randy to fight in other organizations we'll see a repeat of Saturday? Who would be the next most appropriate fight for Randy? Would Aleksander Emelianenko at heavyweight or maybe either Forest or Rampage at 205 be more appropriate?

  1. He's too old too be true! Thiago Silva and Lyoto Machoda can beat him with ease at this point. And there's no sense in fighting NOg coz he will then be a humiliated old man in the making. He better fight Fedor as is, once and for all. He may risk his condition when he try to do "tune-up" fight with nog for Fedor. Finding out that Fedor beat Nog in their primes at Pride, made me seriously doubt if randy can beat him anytime in the future.

  2. Randy would survive atleast a round. You forget this is randy couture, a god of mma, a maker of legendary gameplans. I wouldn't count him out against Fedor, because in danas own words "You dont ******' bet against randy couture." Randy says he has only one fight left in him, and he wants it to be fedor. Which makes since, If he beats fedor people say "OMG hes the best ever." If he doesnt people say "He was really old." So its a win win for Couture.
