  1. Wireless routers are used to link more than one computer to the internet, without having to use all those ethernet cables.

  2. A wireless router connects to your Internet Modem and brodcasts a signal for laptops or any device with a wireless card to pick up and connect to the internet.

Basically, it is what allows you to get on the internet without any ethernet cables.

  3. a wireless routor is used for internet, usually its used for laptops so they can be used around the house and stuff without being plugged into an ethernet cable but thats if they have a built in card if not one has to be bought. Also they can be used for internet to game systems like the wii and ps3

  4. Is sets your laptop FREE from the tethering cables , and allows other people use your internet connection, unless you set it up with some sort of mac address blocking or other signal encryption.
