Forgot name to old PC game?

Question

I used to play a strategy type of game when I was a kid and I can not for the life of me remember the name. What I can really remember is that you would build small forts and have farming on the inside of them and build other things in the town. It was a medieval game I am almost positive of that. Some small things I do remember is that you would make little armies and go take over other territories and I do remember having catapults if that helps at all. I know this isnt much information but I would really like to find this game as I enjoyed it greatly. Also I was fairly young so it was probably around 2000 or 1999 but maybe a little earlier than that. Thanks

This sounds like "World of War Craft".

There has been I - II - III.  And now the online game called, the World of War Craft.

It's by blizzard entertainment.

idk but my brother plays like civil war recreation that sounds like that... perhaps...
