Forgotten horror movie help?

Question

its about a writer who has a dead daughter, he stays in haunted houses nd stuff but he goes to a hotel were everybody who stayed there died a horrible death, he starts having like hullicantions nd stuff nd sees moments with his daughter and when he trys to escape by climbing out the window (about 20 storys) he walks on the window ledges and it keeps getting further and longer.

The movie's called 1408. It's based on the short story by Stephen King. It stars John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. It was a good movie, even critic wise with 77% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. I liked it but I was a little scared on some parts.
