  1. Yes you can recover your stuff, but you'll need someone to do it, and it might cost you.

Reformatting a disk does not erase the data on the disk, only the data on the address tables.

You can also try that software if you want to do it yourself.

  2. Not once it is re-installed. you may recover if you have only formatted, but will probably need to send it to a data recovery company. These normally charge $1000 US just for trying, with no guarantee of success.

  3. Buy one of those "undelete" programs for like $50.  Have it scan your drive, and it should find some stuff.  My friend just did the same thing a few weeks ago, and it recovered almost all of his pics from unallocated space.

  4. There are programs (File Scavenger and others) that can scan your hard-drive and try to recover files. However, there is no guarantee of salvaging the files...it depends on the type of formatting you did.

  5. You can't get it back because your HD is fully clean.

  6. You formatted your hard drive by mistake. ROFL. Right.

Google 'spinrite' its your only choice that's reasonably priced.
