Formatting The PC ???

Question

When I format the PC should I install latest drivers or the drivers that are coming with the products ??

And what anti-virus to use Avast Home or Kaspersky Internet Security ???

And should I update the windows (XP Pro SP2)???

install the latest drivers, Service pack 2, and Avast.

well if there are later products, then install those, and then download product updates if there are any..

avast is good, AVG free is good as well

they both will do fine

you should install XP PRO SP2,and if u want, you can run windows updates. they are recommended, but you dont HAVE to.  if you choose to run windows updates, then do them a couple at a time, dont run them all at once.  i hear it can crash or do other unwanted things.

The ones that come with it will be fine, but for the best performance I recommend going to the manufacturers website and get the latest ones from there. That way takes a little more work though, it's really up to you.

I don't like security suites to be honest, so I'd stick w/ Avast! It's free, and I use it and I've never had a problem. Works great.

Yep. Update as soon as you can to SP3.
