The long wait for appointing Carlo Ancelotti was over after Paris Saint-Germain unveiled the former Chelsea and AC Milan manager at a press conference at Camp des Loges. The Italian was hotly linked with the job at Parc des Princes following the
sacking of Antoine Kombouare
On Friday, December 30, 2011 another chapter in the history of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain was written when Carlo Ancelotti was unveiled as the new coach of the Ile club at a press conference in Camp des Loges.
The 52-year-old had been hotly linked with the coaching role at Parc des Princes for the last few weeks. Apparently, the Italian was approached by sporting director http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 in November. However, Ancelotti refused to accept the proposal in a bid to wait
for an opportunity to arrive in England.
Things took a whole new shape when PSG announced the sacking of former coach Antoine Kombouare. Since the sacking, Ancelotti had been touted for a move to PSG.

“The work starts now, with my role as coach, in exchange with players. The transfer window will open and the club will act. These decisions will be important for the future but regardless of the decisions taken, I will be 100% committed,” said Ancelotti.
