Former Arsenal director Lady Bracewell-Smith urges for change in board of directors at the Emirates
Former Arsenal director, Lady Bracewell-Smith has gone on to state that the Gunners need to change the way the current board of directors are operating at the club, in order for the team to take a step forward and into a new era.
Bracewell-Smith, went on to sell her 15.95 shares, to Stan Kroenke earlier this year. However, she claims she only sold her shares, in hopes to see the club progress, which is something that has not happened thus far.
When voicing her opinion to the world, Bracewell-Smith is quoted to have said:"I agree that the current board should all go"
"They are passe. Have nothing more to give to the club at all.

"In time we will need a more dynamic pro-active younger board, and a good directional leadership."
The current board constitutes of, Kroenke, Peter Hill-Wood and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Gazidis, along with Ken Friar, Sir Chips Keswick and Lord Harris of Peckham.
However, Bracewell-Smith feels that there is a much needed addition of youth to the board, as she then went on to add: "In time we will need a more dynamic pro-active younger board, and a good directional leadership."
When asked to the reasons behind her being sacked, she responded by stating: "[They] couldn't handle a woman with power on the board. Felt insecure. Male chauvinism."
When we step back and take a look at what Bracewell-Smith has said, we can find ourselves agreeing with what the manager has to say. The current http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 board has a set of philosophies and a procedure which they follow and so far, it has been working rather
well for the Gunners. However, as we speak, the world of football is changing and these old-school directors don’t really know how to handle the situation, or how the team should be evolved in order for it to become much more competitive and a much bigger
name in the world of football, in the near future.
Nonetheless, we can also see the flaws in the board’s policy, as one of the factors that have really held Arsenal back is their inability to compete in the transfer market. Along with that, the team has found it quite hard to retain their star performers,
mainly because the board just isn’t willing to pay top dollar and offer those players the wages that they want.
That being said, hopefully the Gunners are going to be heading into a new era in the near future, which will finally see them reclaim the throne that they have been fighting for, over the last decade or so.
