Former Australian spinner Shane Warne tries on clothing business
Cricketers with sizeable fan bases capitalize on their fame by making endorsement deals, while those with a lower level of popularity ultimately have to find other ways of making a living. This is perhaps something that former
Australian spinner Shane Warne clearly understands.
The retired bowler has stepped into the clothing business and is currently striving to launch his brand, Spinners, in India. The cricketer-turned-designer hopes to receive a positive response to his brand from the huge Indian market.
Spinners was first launched in 2009, making waves in the ‘spashion’ (from sports and
fashion) market in Australia. Now, Warne aims to expand the business globally, and has chosen India to begin with.
In a statement about his business, Warne said, “I am excited to be launching Spinners by Shane Warne globally. It is no secret that I have always loved http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750. It is a beautiful country and the people are as passionate about cricket
as I am! I have experienced such strong support from my Indian fans and I am really looking forward to sharing my range of menswear, boyswear, and innerwear with them.”
The fashion line offers menswear, boyswear and innerwear, all designed by Warne himself. The collection is in soft, breathable fabrics and includes soft-washed tees, double stitched denim, etc. Spinners is currently available at
Target stores in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
