Frank Rijkaard believes that Iniesta is the best footballer in Europe and deserved UEFA’s Best Player Award. He also states his views on Ronaldo’s “sadness”.
After beating teammate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, Andres Iniesta has been dubbed the best player in Europe winning the UEFA’s Best Player in Europe award. A lot of controversy has come about, with many football fans feeling that
the Spaniard did not deserve the prize.
However, former Blaugrana coach feels that the Spanish midfielder deserved his prize. Rijkaard also admits that the Spaniard is one of the greatest players he has ever had the pleasure to work with.

He also comments about how Iniesta has been named the best player in many tournaments and as a result it should come to no surprise that he was bound to achieve this award soon.
“Iniesta deserves it. He has been named the best player of many tournaments such as the European Championship and in the World Cup final. I’m glad because he is an example for any player.”
He was also questioned over whether he felt that Iniesta’s fellow teammate in both Barcelona and the national team Xavi was better, the Dutchman replied in a highly diplomatic manner stating, “When a parent has two children, it is difficult to pick one favourite.”
When confronted about Ronaldo’s and Messi’s competition as to who is the best, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Saudi-Arabia-c3000 team coach refused to comment about it. He felt that he would not be able to come up with a fair comparison as he has only worked with one of the two players.
As a result, a comment over Ronaldo would not be honestly definite.
However he did say he has a lot of respect for the Portuguese star as a footballer, and that his fans should be understanding of the Portuguese forward’s predicament. He stated that a player’s mood changes while he’s playing football and that they can be
happy one day and sad the next, and that due to his success and importance for his team, Ronaldo should be happy.
“Players are sometimes sad, sometimes happy during their sporting career. For his performance on the field Cristiano should be happy because he is always the player who leads the way in Madrid.”
However, he also states that what happens in Ronaldo’s private life is his own business, and as a result he cannot comment about what is really causing Ronaldo to feel sad.
The Dutch coach also states that it will be difficult for Tito Vilanova to fill the shoes of Barcelona’s previous coach Pep Guardiola.  Rijkaard believes that since Pep has won almost everything there is to win for Barcelona, it will be difficult for Tito
to make such a huge impact, and that he should have the support of those that are around him.
