Former Benfica defender David Luiz reveals Chelsea were his first choice

here.”
Luiz said he was highly impressed with the London side and their ambitions for winning silverware, which was mainly why he made the move. He revealed he felt lucky to play alongside the top players already present at Stamford Bridge.
He continued, “I could have joined other clubs, but Chelsea matches my own ambitions. They were always my first choice once I knew of their interest. From that moment I wanted come here. They want success as much as I do and they have some great players.”
Even after his success, Luiz has remained humble and has backed fellow January transfer window arrival Torres. The Brazilian star is ineligible to play in the Champions League, having already played for Benfica in the European Cup but will be essential for
the Blues as they continue on their quest to retain the Premier League crown.
