Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti to return to management
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked at the end of last season by the London side, admitted he was looking forward to returning to management. The 52-year-old has since then been unemployed but is now considering returning to a managerial
position with a club, preferably in the English Premier League.
Ancelotti admitted in an interview that he would indeed like to return to work after half a season of not doing anything, the Italian revealed:
“I would like to.”
The former AC Milan boss had a successful start with the Blues when he took over in the summer of 2009 from caretaker manager Guus Hiddink, leading Chelsea to their first ever domestic double of the English Premier League and the FA Cup. However, unfortunately
for him, he failed to repeat his success and a trophy less end to his second season at the club saw him being sacked.
Since then he has received various offers from different European clubs, with Serie A giants Juventus being the most persistent. Ancelotti has up until now refused all offers, but revealed he was willing to consider his options since he was prepared to return
to management. He did however, reveal he was in no hurry and was even willing to wait further until the right opportunity came along.
Ancelotti said:
“We will have to wait and see. I am using this time to improve my knowledge. I will wait.”
While his preference would be to stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, Ancelotti revealed he would consider moving abroad once again if he felt the offer was right. With many English Premier League sides already in trouble at the start of the season, there could be plenty of
demand for Ancelotti as the January transfer window approaches. If not, then there is always the end of the season.
The Italian claimed he wanted to stay and manage an English Premier League side, but could be leaving the country if he was unable to find a suitable position, he continued:
“I would like to stay here, but if it is not possible I will find another solution outside of this country.”
