Former Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari linked with UAE-based club Al Jazira - UAE football news
Current Palmeiras manager, Luiz http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Maradona-c11160, as their new manager. The position was earlier
vacated by Abel Braga, who confirmed his departure to over the charge at Brazilian outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fluminense-c39366.
The 62-year-old has stayed coy over this move and wants to focus on his current job. He added that there are a lot of things to be done at the moment rather than pondering over this matter. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager claimed that he might consider leaving
for the Emirates-based club but nothing is confirmed as yet.
Scolari has a lot of experience managing the Middle Eastern Clubs and is perfectly suited for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kuwait-c2935 based outfit, Al Qadisiya. Apart from these clubs, Scolari has massive
experience in this field, as he started his managerial career in 1982 when he started his managerial duties with a Brazilian based club, Centro Sportivo Alagoano (CSA). He also has experience of managing national outfits like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984. He also tried
his luck with Chelsea but was given the axe during his first season.
An official at Al Jazira told, “The club is talking with him right now about possibly taking over as coach for next season, but nothing has been decided as negotiations are still ongoing.”
The manager enthused that there has been no official word spoken by the club’s personnel and therefore he does not want to think over this matter. The Brazilian, though, felt honoured at the prospect of working with the Emirati-based club and mentioned that
it might not be a difficult decision for him to make regarding the job.
Meanwhile, Al Wasl’s CEO, Ashraf Mohammad, also commented on Scolari’s possible appointment. He said, "I heard he'll definitely be in town soon maybe to sign for one of the big clubs, but I haven't yet heard where or with whom."
Scolari’s managerial contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Palmeiras-c40165 expires in December 2012 after the 62-year-old agreed to a two-and-a-half year-deal with the Green Giant.
