Former Chelsea manager Gianluca Vialli praises Santos striker Neymar and new Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas
Gianluca Vialli, the former Chelsea manager who managed the Blues for a short term from 1998 to 2000, revealed he felt that Santos youngster Neymar would be a terrific signing for the London club.

While the Blues were initially favourites to sign him, Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid are slowly emerging as the side most likely to end up with the youngster’s signature by the end of the transfer window.

“I’ve watched him many times on TV playing for Santos and I like him. He’s a bit flashy at times like Cristiano Ronaldo but he's very effective.”

“He works really hard for the team. He's only young but comes across as a very mature guy already. I think he would be a tremendous signing for Chelsea Football Club.

Neymar has proved himself for club and country, which is why he is looking for a move away in search for a new challenge.
The Italian manager, who managed Watford for a year, revealed he was certain the Blues would benefit with the arrival of Neymar.

However, Vialli said he trusted Villas-Boas to make the right decision. The young manager has more than proved himself with FC Porto.

“He's very talented. He's only been managing for a year and a half and he's already achieved more than 95 per cent of managers in their lifetime. He's been very impressive.”
