Former England player Trevor Bailey dies in a fire accident at the age of 87
Trevor Bailey, England’s former all-rounder, was found dead at the age of 87 in a fire at his retirement home in Essex, east region of England.
It was reported that Bailey’s body was found in the kitchen of his flat at Crowstone Road at Westcliff, in the morning. The rescue team was alarmed after 0600 GMT and his wife Greta was rescued from a smoke-logged flat.

He informed that her husband, Bailey had gone in the kitchen at the time when the fire broke out. However, the cause of the fire was unknown but Wahl stated that they would wait for the investigation results.
“Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time,” Wahl condoled before paying tribute to the fire-fighters who tried to save his life. He added that the crew found the body in a blaze of smoke-engulfed area but could not save him.
