Former Gunner Ray Parlour believes Arsenal can march back into top four – Premier League Update
Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has gone on to reveal that he strongly believes that the Gunners are capable of finishing in the top four, despite having such a poor start to their season.
However, having said that Parlour has admitted that a lot of the team’s future depend on how Arsene Wenger deals with the club and whether or not the manager is able to get the team’s defence up and running once again.
Instead of blasting the manager and the defenders at the club, Parlour has admitted that the Gunners problem lay within, as the number of injuries that the key players have suffered at the club, it was only a matter of time before the team suffered the fate
that they have.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are currently in the fifteenth position in the league, having picked up just two wins from their opening seven games, while suffering four defeats. The team is currently sitting in the fifteenth spot in the league standings, but despite that fact,
Parlour has placed his faith in Wenger and the club, as he believes they could end up in the top four at the end of the season.
In a recent interview Parlour is quoted to have said: “When they have got the ball they are fine because they are great going forward but they just need that little bit more discipline when they are defending and if they can do that then they will definitely
be up there in the top four or top five positions come the end of the season”
He then went on to admit to the disappointment he suffered due to the loss at the White Hart Lane, but then felt that Wenger probably realized where the team’s problems lay, following the conclusion of the game.
“I am just hoping that they can get it sorted out on the training field. I am sure Arsene Wenger will have noticed that and will be working on it as we speak but it is frustrating for him having lost at Tottenham which was hugely disappointing.”
Parlour then went on to urge the team’s fans to keep their faith in their manager and team, as it was only a matter of time before things stabilized once again and started to flow smoothly once again.
Arsenal are now going to given a couple of days to get themselves together and focus on the coming weeks, which are going to be some of the toughest in the clubs history.
