Former Gunner http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Pires believes Arsene Wenger will stay at Arsenal till he dies – Premier League Update
Arsenal legend Robert Pires has gone on to claim that Arsene Wenger is more than likely to stay at the Emirates forever.
However, the former Arsenal forward believes that both Arsenal need to keep Wenger around and Wenger needs to stick around at the club in order for both of them to prosper.
There have been numerous claims, which state Wenger should be on his way out of the club, but the experts associated with the club believe that, there is nothing more ridiculous than those claims.
When talking about Wenger and his attachment and commitment to the club, Pires is quoted to have said: "I think he will die with Arsenal. He is the same as Ferguson at Manchester United or Guy Roux at Auxerre. He will stay with Arsenal, that is my opinion, because http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 need him and he needs Arsenal. C’est l’amour."
Wenger saw his plan for Arsenal miserably fail at the start of the season. The Gunners went on to produce a series of poor results and after suffering a very humiliating eight goals to two defeat at the hands of Manchester United, the manager turned things around.
Since then, the team has picked up its pace and went on to set up a streak of nine unbeaten games in a row. That in itself shows just how tactically sound Wenger is and how flexible he can be, once he puts his mind to it.
Pires went on to highlight these aspects about the team, but believes that the major players leaving the club were bound to have an impact on the team and its performances. However, considering how well the team has adapted to the change, really shows the spirit in the squad.
He added: "It has calmed down now and things are more relaxed for Arsene. In August he lost three important players for the club in Nasri, Clichy and Fabregas and I think that was a shock for Wenger. And for the fans too, of course.
Pires then ended by revealing that every team goes through a crisis and that Chelsea were the latest team to find themselves in such a situation. However, just like all the other big teams, they are more than likely to bounce back from this slump sooner rather than later as well.
"Every club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. I remember the day after Man United had lost 6-1 to City when everyone was saying United were finished."
Given the fact that Wenger has already committed his future to the Gunners, it is now going to be up to the manager to decide how long he wants to stick around for.
