Former Hamburger SV goalkeeper Frank Rost to join New York Red Bulls – Bundesliga news

The player would join the club next week but could have to wait longer before getting a chance at the club as the
season is already in the midway. The 38-year-old enjoyed 18-year stint in Germany before deciding to take up a new challenge for himself.
The shot-stopper ran out of his Hamburg contract at the conclusion of the last season and decided against signing a contract extension with the club. The veteran wanted to move abroad or become a coach somewhere as he felt that the club require fresh legs
in the goal. He remembered his time at Hamburg and appreciated the audience which helped him gain confidence at Imtech Arena.

years at Schalke (2002-2007) and managed 130 league appearances.

2004.
