Former Indian cricketers condemn http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028’s rotational policy  – Cricket News Update
After a disgraceful defeat in 7th match of the Commonwealth Bank tri- series at Brisbane against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, on Feb 19, 2012, many former Indian greats have started targeting the controversial rotational policy currently used by the Men in Blue skipper, Mahendra Sigh Dhoni, terming it baseless.
Dhoni is constantly defending the idea of rotating some of the senior players, claiming that it is beneficial for maintaining high fielding standards, and it further provides opportunities for young players to get accustomed to some of the diverse international playing conditions.
Legendary spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bishan-Singh-Bedi-c48133 expressed concerns regarding the policy and said that it will only work if the rotated players are performing well.
"I don't know what is the logic behind this rotation policy and what exactly is Dhoni thinking. But for me, the rotation policy makes sense when your players are in good form. But here none of the players are in good form. So where does the question of rotating them comes when they are not scoring?" questioned Bedi.
On the contrary, the former Chairman of Selectors, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dilip-Balwant-Vengsarkar-c54093, has said that the policy is fine, as long as the team is not putting their winning momentum in jeopardy.

Another former Indian spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Maninder-Singh-Bola-c74166, clearly condemns the policy, calling it "utter nonsense".
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chetandra-Pratap-Singh-Chauhan-c50584, a former Indian player termed the rotation policy a mere cover for Dhoni’s failures. "I believe that Dhoni is trying to divert attention from his failures of the last two Test tours,” Chauhan said.
It is to be noted that the three affected players were part of the team, which lifted the World Cup in India last year. Dhoni in recent months has criticised the fielding efforts of the seniors, and many believe that the sole criteria for excluding someone should be based around their batting form.
