http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726 has been presented an option to consider, as the player looks to end his tenure at Juventus, in the form of a friendly gesture by a former teammate at Juventus.
Fabrizio Miccoli has offered to give up the favourite number 10 shirt to the Old Lady striker, in an effort to lure the veteran to join him in Palermo. The Rosanero player in insisted that the club could be a great place for the
player once he reaches the anticipated end of his long stint with Juventus in the summer.
Palermo are not the only club after Del Piero, as the star is attracting interest from a lot of other clubs as well. However, Miccoli insists that he will be looking to persuade the striker to continue his affair with the game
of football at the Aquile.
The Rosanero striker insisted that the club has a good environment, and the player can move here easily as he is not looking for a massive contract. He offered to give him the coveted no 10 shirt in a bid to make the move more
attractive for the veteran.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the 32-year-old said:
“I’ll look to convince him. Life is good here and he has no need for a massive contract. If he comes here then I would even give him my No 10 shirt.”
Miccoli and Del Piero were together for a short while at Juventus, before the Ternana striker moved away to join the Rosanero in 2007.
When asked about his future plans, the Aquile aggressor asserted that he plans on staying at Palermo till the last days of his football career, but insisted that a lot of things can happen over time to crash those plans of him.
The striker insisted that his focus is on completing the one year left on his contract, and told that he enjoys a good rapport with the team management, and thus has no worries about the depleting time on his contract.
“My priority is Palermo and I want to end my playing career here, however I know that a lot of things can happen in football. I can only talk about what I have at the present time and that is another year on my contract. I hope
to stay here and I haven’t spoken to President Maurizio Zamparini about a new deal yet.”
Palermo are scheduled to play Juventus in the Serie A clash, this weekend.
