Former LPGA star Michelle Murphy to work with Turning Stone Resort Casino
Former LPGA star Michelle Murphy, who used to strike fear into her rivals on the course, has reportedly joined hands with Turning Stone Resort Casino.
Murphy will work as assistant golf professional for the Casino, a position that reflects the strong stature of the former LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) prodigy.
According to the details, Stone Resort Director of Golf Robert Todd got in touch with Murphy and asked her to give her valuable services to the sport and the Resort itself.
Speaking to the media about the contract, Todd said that the Resort had been searching for someone professional and talented, and the selection of Murphy is the best decision the management has come up with.
Todd went on to say that he is a great admirer of Murphy’s and takes keen interest in the sport. Recounting his meeting with the LPGA star, Todd said that the moment he saw the former golfer and had a talk with her, he knew that she could be the best asset for the Turning Stone Resort.
“I met Michelle at a PGA merchandise show and found her to be full of energy and golf stories,” the Director said.
When asked what Murphy’s role will be, Todd said that she has a great reputation in the world of golf, and this is what will give them a chance to promote the sport among general public.
“Her goal is to make the game fun for all. I expect Michelle to spread her knowledge to our Turning Stone golf team members to help them provide the best guest service possible”.
Although Murphy was never a world champion on the LPGA Tour, she boasts a stunning profile. She played the Tour events in 1998, 2000 and 2001 — something that has added shine to her profile.
Moreover, she has been associated with golf teaching for a long time, and has received PGA certification.
Murphy shared her thoughts about her selection for the Turning Stone Resort, saying she is very excited to become part of it, and will try to put her best foot forward.
“As an instructor, I want to make people better golfers,” said Murphy. “I’ve already helped thousands ranging from novice to advanced with their golf swing, etiquette, course management and score saving techniques. I hope to teach thousands more here at Turning Stone”.
