Former LPGA stars Kate Golden and Amy Read become swing instructors

Kate Golden and Amy Read are two former players on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) who are known for their contribution to golf.
Both ex-players have now shifted their focus on training rising golfers who wish to learn swing techniques.
Both of them boast profiles that make them perfect swing instructors — something rising golfers often acknowledge.
Their passion for golf has led many fans to call them golf maniacs, as they spend most of their time in golf training.
Although out of professional golf for a long time now, both ex-stars have included another tough job to their slot, that is, golf teaching.
Golden and Read recently grabbed the headlines in the young golf world, as they joined the Dave Williams Golf Academy at Redstone Golf Club. The job description is simple: teach swing skills to rising players.
Speaking to the media, the former LPGA prodigies said golf has been their life and their passion for the sport is what has kept them intact.
They said that after quitting pro golf, they were looking to do something worthwhile — they wanted to play their part from the grass root level.
The Dave Williams Golf Academy will require both the players to train young kids who are still at the beginner’s level.
Since golf is a complex sport, staying focused and learning basic skills often troubles new players.
However, they said that their job description is not limited to teaching fledgling players, they will also be training amateur players, who still struggle making effective swing.
Sharing his thoughts about the induction of Golden and Read, Redstone Director of golf Charlie Epps said that he is hopeful that taking on board both ex LPGA players will prove beneficial for the Golf Academy.
Shedding light on their skills, Epps said that he puts his complete trust in their capabilities.
He added that junior golf is growing at a fast pace and it is becoming more and more crucial that persons with expertise are inducted.
"They have the perfect pedigree - junior golf, high school golf, college golf - and they both played on the LPGA Tour for many years," said Charlie Epps. "And they've taken and learned from the great teachers".
