Former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Joe Torre thinks Matt Kemp is best player in League
Former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Joe Torre does not give many predictions about baseball and regarding Major League professionals, but when he does, the level of his predictions and analysis certainly impresses many.
His knowledge and experience speaks for itself. As a player and as a Major League manager he has spent almost five decades and possesses huge credentials to state anything related to baseball.
Recently, Torre has spoken in the media regarding Los Angeles Angels’ veteran outfielder Matt Kemp as he is the best player in the biggest baseball league in the world.
Torre was very specific saying of Kemp as he is still young and can play long for the team. During the conversation with the reporters, he compared Kemp with newly arrived Albert Pujols. Many in the MLB already think that Pujols with heavy hitting is best at the moment, but Torre on the other hand suggesting towards age factor of both players and on that particular factor he considers Kemp best among all other League players.
Torre said in detail, "We know what Albert is all about, but Albert's a little older. So I think, age being considered, you would have to put [Kemp] in that category. It's tough to say there's one guy that belongs in that category, but he's certainly one of them because he's a game changer. I'm very proud of what he's done and I've told him that a time or two. Like any manager, you have things you agree on, things you don't agree on, He was challenging because, like a lot of young players, they're going to make adjustments on their own.”
Some experts also agree with Torre’s analysis and the way he has given a kind of verdict about Matt Kemp’s game and his calibre.
Matt Kemp who is currently having batting average of .400 along with two home runs, 9 RBIs and .385 OBP while his career batting average is consistent at .294 along with 130 home runs, 466 RBIs and .350 OBP is the main reason which him the true role player and in the eyes of former Dodgers manager Joe Torre, the best player in baseball.
