Former MLB star Manny Ramirez passes on good wishes to Los Angeles Angels for Albert Pujols
Former Major League Baseball star Manny Ramirez has recently commented in the media and congratulated the Los Angeles Angels for signing Albert Pujols for the next ten years.
He was very vocal on Pujols’ inner character and made responsible to that very good traits of his personality which has now landed him in a very good franchise. He also praised his batting skills and called the Angels a best fit in team for Pujols.
Ramirez said, “He deserves that contract; he is the best slugger in history. The numbers speak for themselves; He will continue to be Albert. He has his mechanics. He is a great person. He is always helping the community, goes to church with his wife, always
focused on what he must do. That's why God continues to bless him. The numbers speak for themselves. I have to be realistic. He is the best.”
Pujols, who has been consistent throughout his career having .328 batting average along with 445 home-runs and 1329 total RBIs, signed a ten year deal for $254 million with the Angels last week. Pujols personal achievements have also made him enough popular
to get this deal done with this huge anticipation of world media. Becoming a National League Rookie of the Year in 2001, Pujols, a nine time All- Star, went on to win the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2005, 2008 and 2009 for his brilliant performance
all season long. Later, he won six Silver Slugger and two Gold Glove Awards for his consistent hitting.
Coming on to Ramirez’s comments about praising words for the Angels, who diligently sensed the need of their franchise and signed Pujols, is somewhat one of the best decisions of their management so far. He certainly told the media about the positive impacts
that eventually will come with the arrival of this hugely talented baseball prodigy.
