Former Manchester United shot-stopper Edwin van der Sar confident in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 de Gea
Former Manchester United number 1 and Dutch international, Edwin van der Sar has gone on to label http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463 to be one of the best goal keepers in the world. The retired keeper has stated that the young Spaniard has everything that it takes to get fare in the game and that he is more than capable or being a regular at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
De Gea has joined the Red Devils as part of a five year deal, at the mere age of twenty. That makes him half the age of his predecessor.
Nonetheless, Edwin van der Sar is confident that age won’t be an issue for the Spaniard, who is destined for greatness. He also feels that the keeper is more than capable of coping with the pressure and expectations that have been placed on his shoulders.
Van der Sar is quoted to have said: “They scouted all over Europe and found a couple of targets and they chose De Gea"
"Hopefully he's going to have a great career at Manchester United."
De Gea has hit a rich vein of form recently. The keeper went on to recently win the Under-21 European Championships, only a season after he lifted the Europa League with Atletico Madrid.
Van der Sar refereed to these achievements and stated that they just help us determine how good the keeper really is.
"He's very talented. He's already won a trophy with Atletico Madrid and the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 Under-21 team so the prospect [to do well] is there," Van der Sar continued.

"Everybody has to be his own person [but] I've met him. I've spoken to him and it looks to me that he can handle it."
The former first choice also stated that it won’t take much for everyone to adjust to the new face at the club, since his entry at the club has been at a time, when everyone was expecting to see a new face around.
Van der Sar finished by adding: "I left and David is coming in. I think everybody else will adjust to a new player at the club.”
The signing of De Gea, was one that everyone knew would happen, but just didn’t know when. However, that isn’t the question anymore, as the keeper is now part of the United roster and is currently looking to head out on a pre-season tour with his new club.
Should the Spaniard continue performing the way he has with Atletico, then he is bound to be a United starter for the next ten seasons or so.
