Former Newcastle United’s Obafemi Martins recalled by Rubin Kazan – Russian Premier League news

Martins was earlier loaned out to Premier League side, Birmingham City, but an unfortunate stress fracture limited the player’s number of appearances. The

To his disappointment however, the striker got injured and was ruled out for the entire season. In his absence, the manager was left with
limited option upfront and his side got relegated on the last day of English Premier League season 2010/11.
Martins has had a very unsettled career especially after leaving the Magpies in 2009. The 26-year-old then

and officials were very friendly towards him. He was disappointed with the injury that restricted him for delivering for the club.
The Nigerian International concluded by saying, "My time here at Birmingham City will stay with me, forever. The club, fans, coaching staff and board treated me good. Unfortunately the campaign ended in relegation, but we only need to dwell on the positives
and a remarkable time here was well spent with passionate fans and a thoroughly professional side."
The striker has now been recalled by Rubin Kazan as the Russian club is struggling during the ongoing season, and find themselves eighth on the table with 14 points from 10 games. The Tatars finished third during the last season and Martins would certainly
