Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) former Chiefs have showed dissatisfaction over the leadership abilities of current Chairman, Ijaz Butt, and cited that his tenure should not be extended.
PCB’s former Chairman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arif-Ali-Khan-Abbasi-c45400, who has always been famous for giving straight forward remarks over polices of the cricket board, slammed Butt’s tenure and termed it as disastrous for the country’s cricket.
According to Abbasi, Butt has destroyed PCB’s repute, and always attracted controversies, which damaged the country’s name at the International level.
“His tenure has brought unprecedented shame and if he gets an extension our cricket will get buried.” He stated while talking to Express Tribune.
Remember, PCB Chairman, Butt’s tenure is supposed to expire on October 8, 2011, and reportedly, he may get an extension from the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, who is also the PCB’s patron.
However, Butt has always been making headlines for managing PCB non-seriously and unprofessionally, which irked http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s former players and the PCB’s former chairmen.
PCB’s head, Butt, has been under fire for some disreputable decisions which upset the scope of the game in the country.

Coming back to dissatisfaction over Butt’s tenure, PCB’s former chief, Khalid Mehmood, also criticised him, and lamented on PCB’s poor management.
“We faced a lot of issues during his tenure but the biggest to me is that the PCB has lost its status. The PCB was once the main cricket body in the world but now has no weight.” Khalid said while expressing his views with Express
