Former PCB chief Rafi Nasim calls http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Akhtar-c90080’s book "a pack of nonsense" – Cricket News Update
Former chief of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board (PCB), Rafi Nasim, has lashed out at Shoaib Akhtar for his recently published book and said that the former fast bowler’s autobiography is not more than "a pack of nonsense".
In his recently-released book, ‘Controversially Yours’, the speedster made some shocking claims and criticised local and International players.
He not only commented on the batting skills greats like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Malik-c90088.
Shoaib came under heavy criticism following the release of his book despite the fact that the Rawalpindi Express tried hard to clarify his claims.
Joining the party, Nasim acknowledged Akhtar as one the most controversial players ever, and stated that the pacer just tried to portray himself as a legend while calling others mischievous.
"As far as I know, Shoaib was one of the most ill disciplined players that Pakistan cricket ever had. Coming to his biography, he perhaps thought that the book will receive all the praise and he will be showered with bouquets of flowers, but to his dismay,
the reverse has happened,” Nasim wrote in his fresh article in the local newspaper, Daily Times.
Talking about Akhtar’s allegations on Akram that the former skipper tried to ruin his career, Nasim described that if Akram had not included him in the team, it must have been due to the fast bowler’s misbehaviour.
He further stated that the seamer just attempted to prove himself a ‘saint’ by assassinating others’ characters, adding that it was a foolish act to criticize Indian players in a book that was actually released by an Indian publisher.
The former chief further shared that by disclosing dressing room secrets, Akhtar has shown serious disloyalty towards his team and country.
"Such accusations on his own team members are not only unbecoming of a world renowned player like him, but also disloyalty to the game in general and Pakistan cricket in particular," added the former boss of the PCB.
