Former Pakistani spinners terms Saeed Ajmal as a better bowler than http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 – Cricket News Update
Former Pakistani greats, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and Pakistan
meet in a bilateral series in January 2012.
Both of the former spinners agree that Ajmal and Swann are brilliant but Ajmal will have the upper hand in the upcoming series, on the back of his impressive performances against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747. He helped Pakistan win both the series.
Mushtaq does have reservations over the fielding lapses of the Men in Green, averring that the efforts of Swann will be backed his team’s rock solid fielding. He has urged the Captain of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 to work on the team’s fielding and stamina
ahead of the series.
Speaking to the media today, the ex-leg spinner, who played 52 Test and 144 ODI matches during his international career, said, “Ajmal is in good form and currently the best. I believe Ajmal is far better than Swann. However, Swann holds the advantage given
England's fielding and I hope Ajmal gets the same support. Our batsmen lack patience so that may work in Swann's favour too.”
Qasim also added that the ‘doosra’ bowled by Ajmal will help him grab English wickets, and Swann does not have this ball in his repertoire.
He said, “Both bowlers are assets for their team. They are in form, delivering regularly but Ajmal will have the edge because of the 'doosra' which he delivers more effectively than Swann.”
Both the spinners are in high spirits before the high-voltage series, which will be held at the neutral venues of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 a couple of months back.
According to cricket analysts, Ajmal will have the upper hand in the series as he is well aware of the playing conditions of the Emirates, while Chin has not played at these venues.
The two teams play 3 Tests, 4 One Day Internationals and 3 T20Is which starts from January 17th.
