Former South African coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s coach – Cricket News Update
Former South African coach, Mickey Arthur, wants to become part of the overhauling currently taking place at the administrative hierarchy of Cricket Australia (CA). The cricketing instructor recently revealed that would be interested in taking on the vacant
Coach’s spot for the Australian national side, currently touring http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
At the moment, CA is going through a fierce overhauling phase throughout the ranks on the country’s cricketing board, all intended towards reviving the sport in Australia following some disappointing seasons since the recent Ashes series.
However, as for the matter, CA recently sacked its chief selector http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Timothy-John-Nielsen-c94043, despite having been awarded a three year extended contract, has been asked to re-apply for the position of Coach.
Nielsen’s case will then be put forward in a review panel led by Don Argus.
In a bid to bring about solid restructuring in the board, the axing of the officials came after Argus called in for a complete overhaul on CA’s managerial levels, asking to bring on board ‘a new coach, general manager and full-time chairman of selectors’.
Argus also stated that the vacancies must be filled out before Australia departs for its scheduled Tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, set to take off later this year in October.
As for Arthur, the English born mentor is currently coaching http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Western-Australia-c865 and as for the matter, Arthur recently stated, "Yes, I would be foolish not be interested, but at the moment my priority is Western Australia. I have ambitions to continue coaching
at international, however I have unfinished business here (in WA)."
Arthur is said to be one most influential and effective coaches South Africa has ever had. In 2005, the mentor led a much fallen South African cricket team to a strong top spot in both, Test and One Day International formats of the sport.
Hence, according to reports, for Australia’s upcoming tour, Arthur stands out as a potent candidate for the vacant coach’s spot, given the official’s thorough understanding of the South African cricketing fraternity.
