Former St. Louis Blues President John Davidson looking forward to future -NHL Update
Having resigned from his position just a few days ago, ex-President of the St. Louis Blues National Hockey League (NHL) franchise is hot in the media as analysts are looking closely at his every move and wondering which team will be next to experience a
turnaround from his expertise.
The Blues really did benefit greatly from Davidson, who had a major contributing hand in the St. Louis team’s turnaround this past 2011-2012 regular season in which they finished second in the Western Conference with 109 points. Sources are citing the Columbus
Blue Jackets as his next team as they are reportedly willing to offer his much more in terms of monetary benefits to change their performance around.
"I want a challenge," Davidson told the Columbus Dispatch. "I'm interested in hearing what might be out there. There's lot of energy in this old broken-down body."
One thing is for sure and that is John Davidson is not quitting or retiring any time soon as the Blue Jackets are desperate to bring on board someone who could really make the much needed improvement and direct the team towards ending the regular season
off in a better way.
According to Davidson, turning around the Blue Jackets will not be as much as a challenge since it is in a much better position than the Blues were when he took over as President of the St. Louis hockey club.
"If [my next stop] is Columbus, I can tell you this: That hockey club is better than the one we took over in St. Louis," Davidson told the Columbus Dispatch. "That club was way, way down the ladder. But this Blue Jackets team is not that far away. There
are some pieces there to work with, absolutely. They’ve got some real players there, boy."
Having talked only to the Blue Jackets, according to Davidson himself, this news should really be getting Columbus fans excited as they have been hoping for a better season for ages while citing their last playoff performance back in 2008.
Updates and developments on where Davidson chooses to go should be expected in the upcoming days.
