Former Test players think Pakistan Cricket Board lacks vision
After the series loss against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 it was just a matter of time before former players and cricket experts criticized the Pakistan team’s performance. It has become a bit of a habit for Pakistan’s team to lose every second series in which they play.
But after all the criticism and regrets, Pakistan’s team learns very little from its mistakes.
Following the team’s loss, former players criticized the players and the team selection. They have accused Pakistan Cricket Board of lacking vision (PCB) after Pakistan’s side was beaten quite comfortably in the Twenty20 series 2-0 in Abu Dhabi against South
Africa.
Former leg spinner Abdul Qadir criticized the team selection for picking a totally wrong combination for opening in both of the Twenty20 Internationals. He said that players like Mohammad Hafeez and Imran Farhat do not deserve a place in the squad.
Mohammad Hafeez averages 16.53 from 17 Twenty20’s that he has played. In ODIs he averages 20.01 from 53 one day matches that he has played. This has always remained a matter of discussion among the selectors that he is more suited to the longer version of
the game.
Imran Farhat is also one player not ideal for this format as he has played only 5 T20’S and is much more suitable for One day and Test cricket in which his average is around 31.
Misbah ul-Haq, who has recently been appointed as Pakistan’s new Test captain was also criticized by Abdul Qadir. Misbah has played in a number of Twenty20 matches in the past and has won some for Pakistan but because of his age his selection has been questioned.
Abdul Qadir inferred about http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s performance that PCB’s management lack vision and planning. In recent times Pakistan cricket team has been criticized for lacking proper planning for the future and their vision making ability has always been questioned.
Critics have always suggested that Pakistan’s Cricket Board lack of planning can be judged from the fact that they have been unable to provide a proper infrastructure for growth of domestic cricket in the right direction.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sarfraz-c88817 Nawaz also criticized the board and the players and suggested Pakistan Cricket needs new blood but PCB prefers old veterans, who play for themselves and not for the team.
