Former WWE Star, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage dies in a tragic car accident: WWE News
One of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage passed away in a tragic car accident today. Savage’s brother, Lanny Poffo confirmed that he suffered a heart-attack while driving his car near Tampa, Florida.
Savage’s wife Lynn was also with him during the accident. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to the local hospital for treatment.
Florida Highway Patrol stated that Savage was driving a 2009 Jeep Wrangler. He lost his control and collided head-on with tree. He was sent to Largo Medical Centre, where he died due to serious injuries. He was 58 years old on his death. The cops also confirmed
that Alcohol was not the factor for his death. According to the officials, Randy and his wife were wearing seatbelts at the time of accident. Savage had celebrated his first marriage anniversary early of this month on May 10 with his wife. Just after a year
of his marriage, Savage suffered with a shocking death.
Several top WWE superstars wrote on their twitter accounts on the sad news of Savage.
The current WWE Champion, John Cena wrote on his twitter, “CeNation. The untimely passing of randy savage is indeed tragic. All true fans of wrestling will mourn this loss. One of the all time greats.”
The Rock said, “RIP Randy “Macho Man” Savage – you were one of my childhood inspirations and heroes…  Strength, love and prayers to the Savage/Poffo family.”
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin said that he was shocked to hear about Savage’s death. He was the hellacious performer and had the supreme intensity in the ring.
Savage was a ten-time World Heavyweight Champion and a two-time WWF Champion during his nine years career in WWE. He worked with World Championship Wrestling and also with Total Non-Stop Action (TNA) Wrestling also. The Ultimate warrior became the four-time
WCW Heavyweight Champion.
WWE has decided to give tribute to the services of the Wrestling Legend, Savage. WWE has ordered the video production team to work on a video piece to honour Randy Savage. The video may be presented during WWE’s pay per view event 'Over the Limit' on this
Sunday.
