Former World Champion, Randy Orton defeats Kane during Friday Night SmackDown – WWE News
Five days after losing the World Heavyweight Title to Christian, the former World Champion, Randy Orton faced the Big Red Monster, Kane during Friday Night SmackDown on July 22 and defeated him.
The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry also attacked Kane after the match.
Friday Night SmackDown segment started at Minneapolis, Minnesota with The Viper, Randy Orton sitting in the middle of the ring, as he started addressing the WWE Universe that everyone knew about lots of things that were happening in the WWE. The Viper stated
that there was no WWE Champion, Vince McMahon has lost his powers, but Orton still had the same unfinished business with Christian. The Viper commented that Christian spit on his face and his low kick cost him the WWE title at Money in the Bank.
Captain Charisma also came out and held up his new World Heavyweight title. The new champion apologised because he was unaware of the Viper’s unfinished business. Orton explained that as long Christian was breathing, it meant that the Viper had unfinished
business. Captain Charisma told Orton that his incapacity to control his anger was the reason of losing the title on Sunday “Money in the Bank”.
Orton told Christian that he would have his title once again as he would fight with Christian in a rematch. As The Viper made his way towards Christian to beat him, SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long interrupted. Teddy told Orton that he would get
his title shot in the next show because he had already signed a match with Kane in the current segment. Teddy also announced that Christian would face the Intercontinental Champion, Ezekiel Jackson in a Champion Vs Champion, non-title match.
The fight between The Viper and Kane took place at the end of the show and was named as “Street Fight Match”. When the fight started, Kane punched Randy while the Viper followed by the knee in the corner. Orton took the momentum and hit Kane with punches.
The Viper tried to hit a RKO but Kane survived and clothesline Orton to the floor.
At the end, while Kane tried to hit Orton with a chair, The Viper survived and made a come-back with an RKO and got the three count victory. After the fight, Mark Henry came out and attacked Kane. He injured Kane’s leg after hitting him with chair that caused
emergency treatment for The Big Red Machine.
