Former World Heavyweight Champion, Christian loses his third place in Power 25 list: WWE News
The former World Heavyweight Champion, Christian dropped to seventh place from third due to his constant losses during the Friday Night SmackDown and pay-per-view segments of WWE. The Academy of Wrestling Science and Arts updated the Power 25 list on the
basis of fights conducted during 'Over the Limit' on May 22, and following Friday Night SmackDown on May 27.
The Captain Charisma was at third in the Top-5 list as third seeded superstar on May 21st Power 25 list. He was set to face the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton for WWE Pay-Per-View 'Over the Limit' that was to be conducted on May 22. Two days before
'Over the Limit', Christian won the Friday Night SmackDown event by disqualification against Sheamus. Mark Henry interfered in the match and caused disqualification. Sheamus and Henry started beating Christian, but Orton came out and nailed Henry while Christian
beat Henry.
On WWE PPV 'Over the Limit', Christian faced Orton first time after losing his World Championship to him. He tried his best to win the match, but could not get back the championship. Orton again overcame Christian and remained the World Champion. On May
27, Christian challenged Orton again for another title shot, but Mark Henry and Sheamus also interfered and demanded their title shot.
The SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long, put Henry and Sheamus in a number one match and left the decision of Christian to WWE Universe. Teddy said that if WWE Universe approved Christian to take the opportunity for the number one contender then he
would also be involved in the match. The WWE Universe gave their votes in the favour of Christian and the match became a triple threat match.
Henry and Sheamus double-teamed and made Christian out of momentum. However, the Captain Charisma kept his momentum high. The World Champion also tried to help Christian, but unfortunately, Christian lost the match to Sheamus. Due to constant losses, Christian
had to drop third place in Power 25 list. He is now at seventh while the new number one contender, Sheamus amazingly entered in Top-5 list as a third ranked superstar.
