  1. First measure the edge width you want to fix to, add 1/8 of an inch.

You fit the edge first, all round, a mitre cut for the corners, or butt joint the edges, if bent then

continue around the bend, very carefully trim the top edges flush with the work top.

To cut the formica you will need a tenon/hand saw

with very fine teeth, cut at a low angle on a secure suface, so the formica does not wobble, almost like filing.

Use a contact adhesive to stick to surfaces.

  2. use a knife

  3. if you mean, the strips that stick on the open ends, easy.first apply adhesive, then offer it up to edge of work top, apply slight preasure.you then have to leave to set.when its dry hold apiece of wood against the finished face, then using a stanley knife score all around work top twice. gently prize of offcuts. then using a fine file take off any sharp edges . hope this helps

  4. I couldent tell u?

  5. Cut the edging strips slightly oversized, glue them in place, then trim flush with a router, using a special laminate edge bit or a file.  You can choose a square corner or a beveled corner, depending on the router bit you get or the angle you hold the file.  Actually, you will probably need both tools since the router won't get you into tight corners and you will have to use the file to finish.  Oh, yes, to cut the laminate you can use a saber saw. or score the laminate with a box cutter and snap it.
