Formula 1 Driver and Fighter Jets pilot...?

Question

Given that there are similarities between these two professionals in terms of skill, technical abilities, reflexes and nerves, could Fighter pilots easily become Formular 1 drivers and if not, why so. Same too for the Drivers..??

I have pondered about this...

 Not as easily done between the two, each require a different kind of skill set.  I know guys that can fly bombers or cargo planes, but would kill themselves in a jet fighter.  In addition to knowing your aircraft, it also takes a natural talent and a lot of continuous training to fly a jet fighter with a high-level of proficiency.  By the same token, just because you can drive a car does not mean you can drive a F-1 race car; this, too, requires a different kind of skill set and a natural talent for it as well.  There may be a few who could do both, but I would say not very many can....
