Is Formula 1 sound really loud in a real race ????

  1. Yes, very. Formula 1 cars do not run mufflers and their exhaust pipes are very short. They make a very loud noise, higher pitched than stock cars or sedan racing for the most part.


  2. I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE CARS!!! Seriously, they are quite loud which is why fans have to wear earplugs or risk losing their hearing. Same goes for the team members.

  4. yeah it must be.....if it sounds so loud in the TV, then i guess yes..

    anyway... if you look carefully, those guys who stand next to the track, i think they are wearing those earmuff type of things.

  6. It's loud but not out-of-this-world-loud.

    Top fuel dragsters are earth-shuttering loud, F1 is loud enough but not as much as one may think from what he reads on the net.

    It's a high pitched noise but the db are in check, or to put it another way, you won't be needing any earplugs.
