Formula 1 driver’s expectations (Part 2)
Since the 2011 Formula 1 season is expected to be one of the most exhilarating and unique seasons of the sport due to the number of regulation changes, the team’s might find it difficult to get used to the new rules and regulations and as a result, it would
definitely be interesting to find out some of the drivers’ expectations for the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Fernando Alonso:
Fernando Alonso is expecting his team to do everything and anything they can in order to ensure that Fernando wins the title next season. The Spaniard doesn’t trust anyone at the moment. Even Felipe Massa; therefore Fernando is currently working on a “cloning
machine” which would create a number of Fernando Alonsos. Each Alonso will take care of every field of the team including mechanics, managing, pits and what not.
Fernando Alonso: “Hello Fernando number 2, did the mechanics take care of the car?”
Fernando Alonso number 2: “Yes Fernando the car is doing great.”
Fernando Alonso: “What about you Fernando number 3? How is the management team going?”
Fernando Alonso number 3: “It is going perfect.”
Fernando Alonso: “Yes! Now I will win the championship with my own team. I hope my teammate Fernando Alonso number 4 helps me as well!”
Fernando Alonso number 4: “No Fernando! I will win the title.”
Fernando Alonso: “Perfect! Now I will score points with both of the Ferrari cars! No one can stop me!” *evil laughs*
Felipe Massa:
Felipe Massa might be expecting that he might become superman or obtain super powers sometime soon. That is the only way how Felipe can perform better than Alonso and if that happens, Ferrari might think twice before asking the Brazilian to back off in order
to let Fernando win or score some extra points.
Felipe Massa: “For sure I am Superman! Please, don’t mess with me or I will excrete pain on you!”
Team Ferrari: *runs around screaming*
Lewis Hamilton:
Lewis Hamilton has had a great 2010 Formula 1 season but it seemed that consistency was his main issue this year as he was unable to score good points consistently especially in the 2nd half of the season. All he needs is a good and consistent
car in 2011 and he might be able to win the title.....might. But that is not what Lewis is expecting. Since his teammate Jenson Button is the 2009 Formula 1 champion and both of them are champion, he doesn’t want to feel left out now doesn’t he? Therefore,
he will start doing something Jenson Button cannot even dream of doing and that is......being a rapping gangster.
Lewis Hamilton: “Yo Martin Whitmarsh! What’s up ma hommie? I hope the white guy isn’t around.”
Martin Whitmarsh: “Oh, you mean Jenson Button? No he’s not here. Why?”
Lewis Hamilton: “Nothin it’s all cool. I mean, it’s just that he ain’t fast enough right? And besides, he ain’t fun either. He thinks he has a hotter girlfriend than me. But I think a pussycat doll tops everything. You feel me?”
Lewis might be expecting that Martin Whitmarsh would say “Yeah you’re right. Let’s forget Button and help you win. Besides, since team orders are allowed, I think I can do that for my ‘brother from another mother.’ ”
But in fact, Martin would say this.
Martin Whitmarsh: “Stop fooling around and get back to work Lewis.”
There’s no harm in expecting the best from someone now isn’t it?
Jenson Button:
Frankly speaking, Jenson has already won a championship and an Asian girlfriend. I believe he doesn’t want anything more than that. Maybe he might be looking to at least top his teammate. In order to do that, Button would be expecting that Lewis crashes
out of each and every race. If not that, then he might be expecting that Hamilton at least collides with someone and after his recovery pit, he would obviously fall behind Jenson.
Jenson Button on the radio: “What just happened?”
Martin Whitmarsh on the radio: “Lewis just collided with Mark Webber. It seems that you are ahead of both of them now.”
Jenson Button: “Yes!”
