Formula 1 drivers to discuss Lewis Hamilton's aggressive driving style at Suzuka – Formula 1 news
Formula 1 drivers have decided to discuss McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton’s aggressive style of driving at the Suzuka circuit.
Recently after the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, Hamilton was highly criticised by many mainly because of his disappointing collision with Felipe Massa’s Ferrari during the race.
Hamilton has been doing well when it comes to collisions and Massa even stated, “Hamilton should call his father for help.” After that, Anthony Hamilton himself stated that his son needs some better management.
The 2008 Formula 1 world champion decided to part ways with his father professionally and decided to sign with Simon Fuller. Since then, Hamilton’s performance has been deteriorating massively and he is clearly not as consistent as he used to be during his
early years.
Former McLaren driver David Coulthard agreed with Anthony’s comments and stated that the young driver needs a wise manager like Martin Brundle
“It doesn't have to be a manager necessarily, but you need someone to be able to sit down and talk to you with complete honesty. To tell you you're being an idiot,” the Scot wrote in the Telegraph.
McLaren’s team principal stepped in to defend his driver in this situation and stated that Hamilton is still young and he is learning from all of these experiences. He added that the former world champion still has what it takes to win races and definitely,
win more championships as a result as well.
“Lewis is still a young guy, he is learning and he will learn from all of this. He will win races and I am sure he is going to win more championships,” he said.
Hamilton’s rivals have recently asked Charlie Whiting to allow such a discussion about the McLaren driver’s driving style at the Japanese Grand Prix according to Autosprint and it is believed that this has been approved by the officials.
With just 5 races left in the 2011 Formula 1 season, this is not turning out to be a good year for Hamilton even politically.
