Formula One: Bruno Senna and Jarno Trulli deny all rumors
The current Hispania Racing Team’s driver, Bruno Senna has rejected all stories regarding his switch to Lotus for the 2011-Formula One season.
Many of the leading newspapers and websites reported earlier this week that Senna would likely be joining Lotus for the upcoming season. However, the driver as well as the Lotus team completely dismissed all such reports calling them just rumours and nothing
more.
The news is just a part of a series of gossips that claimed that the current Lotus driver, Jarno Trulli, would be leaving the Formula One world after the ongoing season. It was reported by many of the journalists that the Lotus driver has decided to quit
the series in order to move to the USA to join the NASCAR series. Moreover, the driver’s visit to USA just before the last week’s race further gave wind to all these rumours.
However, when the driver was asked about his future plans he plainly reported that he is to stay at Formula One for a long time. He further stated,
"The truth is that before coming to Brazil I went to Miami and met [Juan Pablo] Montoya to exchange watches that bear our names. I'm calm about the future, as I've already been involved by [Mike] Gascoyne in the 2011 project."
This further gave way to more speculations like, if Trulli is to stay in Lotus, how would Senna be joining it? However, dismissing all these stories, Senna told the media only a little while ago,
"There is nothing to it. The stories are ridiculous. It's bad for the job, because I look a fool when I go to speak with other teams."
Moreover, Trulli's manager, Lucio Cavuto, while commenting on the rumours stated that they are purposely spread by Senna himself,
"Those are just rumours bandied about by Senna, who as far as I know has even had trouble respecting the financial obligations he took with Hispania this year."
Senna has not had the type of debut season that was expected from the driver. Being the nephew of Ayrton Senna, the responsibility and expectations from the driver were immense as he joined Formula One. However, being part of a troubled team and also after
staying away from the racing world for a long period, the driver had not been able to live up to the expectations. Moreover, the driver is also undergoing a lot of uncertainty for whether he would be able to get a seat with his current team for the next season
or not.
