Formula One: Climax and Controversies about Ferrari Driver, Alonso’s Win at the German GP
The life on the fast tracks of the Formula One racing is hot and always full of action. Formula One racing has passion, power and its fame in the world is the cause of gathering attention and controversies. Happenings and incidents are a part of this sport, as adrenaline rush of the participants makes the fastest cars more heart throbbing.
Recently an incident happened on the Formula One tracks which dragged the eyes and ears of the people and fans from all around the world towards this race. Everyone is considering the victory of Spanish superstar driver Fernando Alonso’s controversial or against the rules of the race. The incident happened due to the team orders by the Famous Ferrari team to their driver Felipe Massa.  It happened on the 49th lap of the race, when Massa was ordered by its Ferrari team to slow down and let Alonso pass and let him win the race. To a lay man and a Formula One fan, it sounds absurd because helping team members is acceptable but letting the team mate pass and win the race seem sluggish. It was a simple case of favouritism by the team, to promote their best racer Fernando Alonso over Filipe Massa for the race title. This incident became the bone of contention between the Ferrari team and the rest. When the radio messages and instructions over the radio to communicate with the driver is common and very much allowed in the rules of racing, then the instruction of slowing down or pulling over seems very unorthodoxly obvious as well.
Ferrari management and team took the criticism in a very negative way, thus the management answered all the roars quite bluntly. Recently the head of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo expressed his views about the issue and considered the criticism totally pointless and Hippocratic. It is to be remembered that Ferrari was fined 100,000 Dollars and was accused as the law breaker after the race. Montezemolo expressed his point exothermically while talking about the reaction of Formula One and announced the episode as the result of a complete team work.
He added that interests of all the team workers and drivers are for Ferrari and they have done their best. Every one races for the association or sponsor but not for an individual. The boss remained unapologetic about the incident and considered all the views of media and people wrong. He said it has always happened and team Ferrari has always been criticized and penalized for nothing. Later he added that it was fun for the Ferrari fans, as two of our brilliant drivers leaded the racing track till the end and this is the best news for our fans. Montezemolo wished Alonso and Massa best of luck and appreciated the way they raced and helped each other on the racing track.
The victory in Hockenheim put Fernando Alonso again in the list of top favourite racers competing for the world title, where he is feeling much free and ready to ramble. Alonso will now be fighting against his arch rivals Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button of McLaren team, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber of Red bull. Fans of formula one is considering the facts as good for Ferrari and roaring about the future champion racer as Alonso.  After this race, he is certainly in a strong position to show his skills and command over his car steering.
Alonso after the victory is happy and confident to keep his pace in the upcoming race in Hungary this weekend. On one side, Alonso is enjoying his time and gathering love of his fans, on the other side some fingers are also raised towards him about his haphazard win. Now, Massa and Alonso should keep their focus upon the racing track, as they have to show the world that their victory was well deserved. Time will tell about everything else.
