Formula One - Fernando Alonso, a high-contender for Belgian Grand Prix
The Spaniard Fernando Alonso is showing all his talent and eagerness for the Belgium Grand Prix, as he has performed remarkably in the practice session. Fernando Alonso from the Ferrari team showed his skills and strong intentions by posting quickest laps in the two practice sessions on Friday.
On the race day, it was pretty rainy and displaying the best of capability was not an easy task. But the former world champ Spanish star racer Fernando Alonso came up with his best and conveyed a very strong message to the rest that he is one of the top contenders to thrash the lead at Spa. Alonso was followed by his veteran rival of Force India team Adrian Sutil. On the other side, the Briton ace racer from the team McLaren Lewis Hamilton stood third in the practice session race.
It was definitely a very good start for the Spaniard as he was able to perform to his fullest. The brilliant performance has made him even more confident and he seemed pretty relaxed while talking to the media. Fernando expressed his views very happily and said that it was no doubt a positive start for him as everything went according to the plans. While talking about his car Alonso said that he loved the way his car responded over the track and so far he is happy with it. The changes made in the vehicle are very helpful and he is sure that he will get the best possible result from it. Weather in Belgium can also play a vital role in the race because rainy weather can cause an unexpected hurdle in acquiring best lap timings. The Spaniard seemed very much conscious about the weather regarding the race and told the media that the weather can cause a great change in a race, as it is a very important factor that needs to be noticed before racing. He added that anything can happen in a bad weather condition but he will try his level best to stick to his goals and provide the best he can.
In the practice session not only the Ferrari team did well but some of the other teams performed exceptionally well too. The team Renault came up with splendid start as well as they tried their new aerodynamic design and it resulted very well for them. The team Renault finished fourth in the practice session, whereas the veteran racer and Alonso's team-mate Filipe Massa stood on the sixth-spot.
Later the practice session race was stopped by the management as some of the spectators and children’s were found climbing the fence dangerously. After a five minute break the race was resumed and Alonso found a clear way to clutch the thrashing lead as compared to his rivals.
On the other hand, it was not a good day for the champ racer of Red Bull team Mark Webber. After the race he seemed pretty unhappy and expressed his feelings by saying that it was a very unlucky day for him, as everything seemed messed up to him. But Webber was relaxed because he is in form and is confident with the way everything went during the race. Webber added that it is going to be a very interesting race as racing at Spa is one of the best experiences Formula 1 racer can experience. Webber added that he is very well aware of the fact that he is going to face a very serious challenge from his rivals but he will try his level best to give them an unusual challenge.
The superb performances by the superstar racers in the practice sessions of the Belgium Grand Prix have certainly given them a confidence boost. Racing at Spa is always exciting and full of thrills but this year will definitely bring a world class challenge as every racer is eager to give his full because they know that taking a lead at Spa is not that easy.
