Formula One – Force India excited to return to the legendry track
The Indian team, Force India owned by Dr. Vijay Mallya seems thrilled and much optimistic as they enter the next race of the season. The Belgium Grand Prix is ready to unfold this weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps tracks amidst a lot of drama and action. The track had always been one of the most favourite tracks for all the drivers as well as the race lovers.
All the teams prepare to deliver their best as this race introduces the last and the most crucial part of the season which is to decide the Title Winner of the 2010 season. Among all the other teams, Force India is also highly motivated and optimistic as they prepare to head for the thirteenth race of the season.
This is very important for the team as India is to hold the first Grand Prix on its soil in the upcoming season. How the team performs this season would play an important role in the success of the Indian Grand Prix. Mallya, the team boss and one of India’s mightiest businessmen has played the most significant role in taking the sport to his homeland. Now he wants his team to perform as good as possible so that they could claim more and more fans for their home race.
Before the teams move ahead for the next race Formula One’s official website talked to Force India regarding their summer break as well as their plans and expectations for the upcoming season.
Adrian Sutil, the German racer told the press that he had a very busy summer break as he went to India, for filming and carrying some PR work and also went to his home in Switzerland for fitness training and now he has returned back after having a rest for a couple of days.
He further went on saying that he feels much motivated and energized as he prepares to enter Spa, which he has never failed to admire and adore. He explained saying, “It's what I call a 'nature' track - through the forests; it really follows the lines and contours of the hills. For me, it's is the best circuit on the calendar as it has some of the most spectacular corners of the year, such as the awesome climb through Eau Rouge.”
Above all, he explained, the track offers a lot of challenge due to its ever-changing weather which is great and exciting.
The Italian driver for the team, Vitantonio Liuzzi feels really upbeat after coming back from the long summer break. He told that he had spent the summer break at his most loved place, Greece and had also spent long hours in his gym, which is why he now feels physically strong and fit.
While talking about the upcoming season he told that he is looking forward to earn some good points at his favourite track on the calendar.
He said that the unpredictable weather at the track, which may cause a downpour at one corner while sunshine on the other, makes him excited and concerned at the same time. The adept driver believes that the team is going to do well and ready to cope up with the climatic obstacles.
The team now stands at sixth place in the championship and is striving hard to end the season at fifth place in the Constructors’ Championship.
Last year the team did brilliantly well at Spa, as the drivers were able to secure the pole initially, by ending up at the podium later on. Their previous performance makes them all very confident and excited as they return back to the arena now. Also they seem positive for the reason that their technical team claims that their car will suit the track very well.
However, 2010 is a tough season as the level of completion is very high and demands a lot. Only a few more days to go and action will unfold at the legendry track of Spa.
