Formula One Gossip: Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger wants ‘Hubby’ Hamilton
Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, can’t wait to marry McLaren Mercedes Formula One star, Lewis Hamilton.
The American has been dating the British driver since 2008 and is ready to take their relationship to the next level, as she is ready to settle down and have kids.
"I'm really traditional - I'd want to be married before we have kids and that's something we'll hopefully be doing soon. Lewis is always telling me that I'd be a really good mom and I know he'd be a great dad. I love kids and I'm feeling broody.” said Nicole.
In an interview, the singer touched upon a romantic weekend the couple spent together in Paris, which featured candlelight dinners and walks on the streets of the glamorous city. Nicole admitted that while people might call it rather ‘sickly’ and Hollywood-like, all that mattered to her was the special bond she and Hamilton shared – Sort of reminds one of the track Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T’s, ‘Friends would all make fun of us and we’ll just laugh along because we know that none of them have felt this way’.
"He's really sweet - he'll fly halfway across the world to see me perform for just one night, then fly back again to where he needs to be," said Nicole.
Seeing the precise timings of the American star - Dating Hamilton ‘after’ he was champion and announcing that she wants to be the mother of his kids at a time when the driver is a serious title contender for the 2010 F1 season – does make one curious. Whether she’s truly in love with the Briton or a mere ‘gold digger’ remains to be seen.
Secondly, bearing in mind the seven year age difference, the apparent rush in the marriage doesn’t necessarily have to be a mutually beneficial. Lewis is a celebrity, and at the age of 25 is yet to fulfil his true potential. Nicole on the other hand, 32, wants to have babies; perhaps it makes it a sensible option on ‘her’ part.
Thirdly, like many high profile marriages, the initial enthusiasm is there. However, in years to come, will Lewis be able to continue his round the world exploits Grand Prix after Grand Prix to meet the love of his life? Or will the couple take the ‘suburban’ root out of the predicament that might feature Nicole, conservatively dressed, holding a baby, looking on from the stands every time her husband drove around at over 300km/h?
It is however, sincerely wished that the marriage, when and if it does take place, shall be the start of a fruitful and prosperous happily ever after. And that both individuals are truly able to honour and cherish each other in sickness and in health, till death do them part!
