Formula One: Hamilton believes that tables can turn around anytime
Even if the Hungarian Grand Prix disappointed Lewis, for he lost the lead in the standings still he believes that the 20-point difference among the top five means the tables can turn around anytime.
Lewis Hamilton of McLaren has shown great form and pace all through his career. Since his debut season with Formula One in the year 2007, the British driver had been able to show immense confidence and determination on as well as off the track. With his first World Championship win in the year 2008, he laid the record of being the youngest champion ever in Formula One history, at the age of twenty three.
This season had also been a great one for him right from the start. After securing the top position of the Drivers’ tally for a long period Hamilton has had the second mechanical retirement of the season last Sunday in Hungary, costing him his lead of the Drivers' Championship. As he walked out from the race pointless, Mark Webber of Red Bull occupied the top place back again from whom Hamilton had earlier snatched it.
Well, the difference among the top five drivers so far is only 20 points. Amid the five drivers at the top of the tally stand two of the McLaren drivers, Lewis Hamilton and his team-mate Jenson Button, two of the Red Bull men, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel whereas the fifth place has been occupied by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.
Looking at the current state of the Formula One season Hamilton believes that the probability of any one of the five drivers to claim the race win is the same. The season will still have a total of one hundred and seventy five points to play when it will return after summer holiday in next three weeks.
The twenty five years old told that although the race in Hungary was a big disappointment yet one has to put all such things behind and must keep moving on.
After his retirement from the race he told the media in a post race press conference that one must not waste time in thinking of 'what if' or the missed opportunities, rather one must keep the spirits high and make better plans for the future.
"And, despite it being a difficult race, I can take some positives away from the Hungary weekend - I was able to pass a car on track, and the guys once again pulled off a perfect pitstop, to put me ahead of Felipe Massa.”
He was also very hopeful as he proclaimed that he knows both the McLaren men can come back even stronger in the last seven races of the season. He further added that the team has a number of promising developments for the upcoming races and he thinks that those advancements will make him progress in lots of other areas as well.
He was very confident as he told that the team had been able to dig deep in the past as well and they will dig deep once more in the future as well.
Hamilton concluded saying that he feels as thrilled as if it was the start of the year once again. He added, “with everything to play for, and none of the top three teams lagging behind on points. That's really exciting!"
He added with much anticipation, "In fact, I can't wait for Spa - I wish it was next week!” Of course his fans as well as all the Formula One fans could not wait to see things unfold as the season covers its last rounds.
At this stage of the season, when the fight for the Championship is so tight, and the teams have headed for break all the race lovers anticipate to have the cars back on the track to see what the rest of the season will be bringing for them.
