The Next Race will see all 24 cars and 12 teams head to Yeongnam, South Korea. The race weekend is to start from the 22 of October and is to stretch till the 24th when the inaugration race for the new circuit is scheduled to kick off. The most
interesting fact about the Korean Grand Prix is that it shall be unheard of as far as the participants are concerned. No matter where you come from, irrespective of your achievements and experience, the Korean track is bound to present a challenge.
Taming the roads of Not only for the players on track, but also for the tyre manufacutrers, Bridgestone, will it be interesting to see is they are able to provide the right tyre ware for the race.
It might have been a bit of a gamble by Bernie Ecclestone and company, allowing the race to go on after a recent inspection by the FIA. The 5.615km Korea International Circuit, situated 370km south of Seoul, becomes the only track in the multi million dollar
sports’ history to be given the green light ignoring the 90 day waiting period before holding an official race. While some believed that the track ‘only had the top layer of asphalt applied at the weekend.’ The FIA seem satisfied that the track is ready and
will now receive the mandatory safety licence required to hold the Grand Prix.
